How Long Does it Take to Translate My Documents?

Translation time depends on a number of factors:

  •      The source language
  •      Number of pages (where a page is no more than 250 words)
  •      The quality of the document’s scan
  •      The need for clarification on spelling or missing information

Taking these factors into account, the average time it takes is roughly 24 hours or less for up to three pages. Larger amounts of words, such as 5,000, can take multiple days. For lengths longer than this, we will happily supply a free quote for turnaround time.

Who Translates My Documents?

Our translators are all certified and tested prior to working on document translation. Many of them specialize in their native language to ensure maximum quality. They all come from various backgrounds as well, including Ivy League Universities, former embassy translators, and other impressive professional backgrounds.

Will You Notarize My Documents?

For an additional fee, we provide a notarized Certificate of Translation stating that the translation was performed by a qualified and experienced translator and that in our best judgment, the translated document is a true and accurate translation of the original documents.

Please note that only the Certificate of Translation will be notarized. Notaries are required to be fluent in both languages in order to notarize the original and translated documents, and our notary is not fluent in all languages for which we provide translation services.

Do You Provide Apostille Services?

No, we do not provide apostille services.

What’s the Difference Between a Notary and an Apostille?

A notary is a person authorized to perform acts in legal affairs, in particular witnessing signatures on documents. An apostille is a certificate, different from a notary, often attached to a document by an appropriate government official after it is notarized. Notaries cannot issue apostilles themselves.

Apostille certificates validate the seal and signature of a notary on a document so that it can be accepted in a foreign country. It verifies that the Notary held a notary commission at the time the document was notarized.

Customers are responsible for requesting an apostille from his or her Secretary of State’s office or notary commission agency.

How Do I Know My Information is Safe?

We secure all the information on our website using a 256-bit SSL encryption which is the industry standard for secure communication. Only members of ASAP Translate will have access to the documents and those who do will be professionals who have signed confidentiality agreements.

For an extra layer of security, credit card information is not stored on the same servers, but instead is sent directly to our bank for maximum protection.

How Does Your Translation Process Work?

Once you’ve placed an order, the documents are reviewed by a certified translator in the language of your choosing. Once the translation is complete, it is sent to another member of our team for editing and quality assurance. From here, the translated documents are then emailed directly to you, and if you opt for physical delivery, a tracking number is provided.
